The Zimbabwe senior national netball team (Gems) will this afternoon face former coach Lloyd Makunde’s team- Namibia- in their second game of the Netball World Cup Qualifiers.
The Gems are participating at the ongoing Netball World Cup Qualifiers in Pretoria with eight teams vying for the available two slots.
Hosts South Africa already qualified.
Yesterday, the team got off to a flying start after defeating Botswana 49-41.
The Gems are drawn in group A with the likes of Namibia, Tanzania, South Africa and Botswana whom they have already defeated 49-41.
Makunde is Namibia national team assistant coach and was dismissed a few days before the team started their preparations for this particular tournament.
He (Makunde) is assistant to veteran Malawi coach Mary Waya and together have made their ambitions to qualify flr the world Cup known.
Gems coach Ropafadzo Mutsauki said they will take every game as it comes and will not ubderrate any team.
